Answer:

I have the TF300 with the docking station. I bought it as a productivity tool with entertainment capabilities. With the keyboard attached, it's a bit sleeker than a netbook, and it's a useful machine for keeping notes at meetings, it's easy to open PDF's, and edit or use Word documents or spreadsheets. I have yet to figure the workaround to get flash loaded. I haven't experimented with hulu or watching movies on it - but web based video content I've watched has been nice. With the keyboard, battery life in eco mode is rated as 15 hours, without the keyboard it's 10. You can also use a bluetooth keyboard with it, but the asus one gives you the extra battery life, a USB port, and a full size sd card slot.If I don't need the keyboard, I can just take the screen and it's half as thick. It's pretty fast, and because it's android I expect it'll stay that way. If the bugger would run my windows based astronomy camera software I wouldn't need a laptop. It's great that the calendar syncs with my phone. As for wifi sensitivity - I had one laptop that was more sensitive, I've had some that were worse. I'd say this is probably average to a little better than average If you're only concerned about sensitivity in the dorm, you could pick up a range extender. Maybe you could get other residents to chip in to improve their signals. If your primary goal is entertainment, and you don't need a productivity tool, the Fire might be better suited to your needs,
I'm pretty sure that nail polish remover is for removing nail polish from my finger nails (and my wife's nails too), not scunge from your VCR. Try using an APPROVED head cleaner for the VCR repair.
