I started collecting african violets and was wondering, after the blooms that are on them when you buy them from the store die how long does it take until it will bloom again?I got one from my grandma that I have had since the end of summer or the beggining of fall and it still hasn't bloomed (it had just finished blooming when she gave it to me). Me and her thought it would hav bloomed by now, but it hasn't. :/Would adding some vermiculite help encourage buds?And also while I'm asking, do you have to take all the dirt in the plant out and mix the vermiculite in, or can you sprinkle some on the top layer of soil and it will work?
