I had a sim card reader but tracfone doesn't seem to use their sim card for much. Could I use this data cable instead? I want to transfer my phone book from an old sanyo sprint phone. Would the cable also work for adding ringtones and could anyone recommend some freeware/software to use with the cable.
It depends first who is your carrier? Verizon locks the phones so you must use their services to download tunes. ATT allows the cables be sure the cable is actually for that phone and then you need the software.
