My husband is dressing up as a milkman for halloweenI need some ideas about how to make him some milk bottles, and maybe even one of those crates to carry them inI have no idea what to use to really make them look realSomething plastic would be greatany ideas???
Those old bottles usually came in quart sizesThe closest equivilant in shape and size may be plastic one liter size water bottlesIf you can find a white paint that will stick to the plastic, the appearance may be close enough to make the costume look authenticMake aluminum foil caps to top them offThe home delivery milkman didn't carry them in those crates, but used a kind of wire framed carrier with a handleYou might be able to fashion one out of coat hanger wiresIt doesn't have to be strong, since, for the costume, he only needs to carry around six empty bottles, for appearance.
Tent(s) Sleeping bags Flashlights or lantern Extra batteries Portable stove (optional) Bottled water Cooler with food Paper towels Plastic forks, knives, spoons Plastic cups Disposable table cloth for picnic table Trash bags for your trash Bug repellant spray Sunscreen Marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers to make s'mores Portable CD player or iPod dock to listen to music That's all I can think ofHave fun!
Nothing much to add, but if you are camping and there might be bears, search on how to make a bear bagIf not, lock your cooler using bunjee bands to keep 'coons out.
