Question:

i would like to know of the function of a load valve in the rear brake system on a vehicle?

load valve for rear drum brakes

Answer:

when you load up the rear of the car it gives you more braking power in the back i had a mazda mpv with that. i dont know how true that isseemed the same tooo me
The load sensor proportioning valve increases the maximum brake fluid pressure to the rear brakes as the lever is moved toward the valve, such as when more weight is in the back of the car or trunk. When the rear of the car is empty, the lever is unloaded and less pressure is diverted to the rear brakes.
