Someone told me my axle is broken and that he will fix it for me for 80 Bucks, but I think he‘s just trying to make some money off me, Because I heard If my axle is broken It wouldn‘t be driving my car?So how can I tell if my Axle is broken?It looks bent though. so I don‘t knowThanks!
Is it even possible to drive it? I would NEVER drive a car with a broken axle. The chances of the car self-destructing and going out of control are too high. If you are still able to drive it and without anything unusual happening, then you either misunderstood the mechanic or the mechanic is wrong.
I believe its a scam, or he's calling a different part the axle like a sway bar
If your car is all wheel drive/ 4x4 you could drag the car along using the front wheels. This would be very bad for your vehicle though as it was not built to do this. If your car is front wheel drive, I don't think you would be able to drive it. If your car is a rear wheel drive then your buddie is blowing smoke up your . tail pipe. A bit more info on the car would help people give better answers. In any event replacing the axel for $80 would be very hard to do. Junk yard parts?
