my car wont start all the eletronics work inside but wipers are not going full speed. Does this mean it is the battery and how can i know for sure without using any special tools? Thx
Little story. When the car runs, the alternator charges the battery. This is no different than if you went to a restaurant and waiters were always coming around to fill up your tea cup(so it was always full) If the car is not running (there is no charging of the battery so you are drinking it down to nothing) Wipers drink a lot of power. So do headlights. The starter is the biggest gulper so you always want to have enough power left in the battery to turn over the starter, otherwise your car will not run(so the alternator can recharge the battery to full again) How do you know when you are using up all the battery juice. Experience and noting that the headlights are not as bright or the wipers are not working full speed. It is time to shut it down or start the car now so that the battery can be recharged. You say Car won't start. Then shut off the wipers and the headlights and put on the 4 way emergency lights. That is all that should be on. Your car is on a diet electrically speaking. Your car has a problem and you need a repair or a tow to be repaired.
