Question:

if your vehicle has a hydraulic fluid braking system, then you should stomp on the break and not let up in?

if your vehicle has a hydraulic fluid braking system, then you should stomp on the break and not let up in an emergency:True or False?

Answer:

All cars and trucks sine the 30's have had hydraulic brakes. I think what you are wanting to know is if you have ABS (anti locking brakes) if you should stomp the pedal and hold it. The answer in theory is yes you just hold your foot down on the pedal and the system will stop the car as fast as possible not to mention still allow you to steer because as long as the car is still moving the wheels will still be turning therefore have a chance of steering. If it was a regular brake system and you jammed your foot on the pedal the wheels would just stop. A skidding wheel wont steer so this is one of the reasons you would pump the brakes, to give the wheels a chance to steer.
It depends on if it has anti lock brakes. If not and you lock up the brakes you lose the ability to steer your car.
As Fred says, Citroen hydraulic systems use green LHM fluid, as do any others with Citroen-based hydraulic suspension systems which includes Rolls Royce. that's unique and does not combination with the different fluid. LHM absorbs basically an infinitesimal share of moisture, in assessment to universal brake fluid. (in case you seem on the suspension spheres in a Rolls Royce boot you will see the Citroen chevrons!)
