Installing a 3 suspension lift on a 1998 TJ?

Answer:

The sway bars connect to to the axles via sway bar links at outer points and are shaped a little like a really wide horse shoes they connect to the frame and they reduce body roll/leaning when turning. The track bars are the very hefty tube probably 1 1/2 inch diameter that run diagnal from the frame down to the top of the axle houseing. What they do is they keep the axle centered on the vehicle. Lifting a TJ is not too bad and on a scale of 1-10 for difficulty is probably a 6-7. Follow the install instructions, they tend to be very well written and 4WD Hardware in the past has always had decent technical support. The only suggestions I would have is not so much for installation other than you will need a spring compressor, but more for removal of your old items make sure you have a torch, some PB Blaster, or some Kroil Deep Creep to get your bolts loosened. I generally soak all the hardware I'll be removing for 24-48 hours with either product re-spraying it about every 8 hours during that period. It may sound excessive but I've never broken or had to cut off a bolt during the switching of a suspension.
