hi, basically i have had my laptop for about 2 years, i play football manager alot and the charger gets quite hot, but i leave it on even if the laptop is charged fully. I recently started playing flight sim x, and i leave the charger in. When i was playing it i noticed my charger wansnt working, so i bought a replcment one. Working fine at he start but two hours later it stopped working whilst i was on flight sim x and it had got quite hot, both chargers do not work anymore, thanks
Firstly you to have the check the quality of the laptop charger you have bought. If the charger is an original then quality won't be an issue and may just be faulty. However if the charger is a cheap replacement the this could be the issue, alot of people simply do not take note of the old saying you get what you pay for. Make sure if you have bought a third party charger, it is a good quality brand. Currently I have used this one without issue porta-charge .uk//universal-sumvision-laptop-charger-90-watt.html Lastly, you have said both chargers have stopped working, I would personally believe it's your charger at fault and not the battery. Irrespective if the battery was at fault then the laptop charger should still deliver power to the laptop and should still switch on. Clearly this is not happening therefore your charger(s) are at fault and not the battery.
all of the laptop chargers on the earth get hot. this is problem with the battery because :- 1. you should NEVER keep you laptop charger plugged after you battery is 100% charged up.it reduces the battery life badly 2.all of the batteries have a life of 1-2 years. tip-you should turn off the charger after the battery is 100 % charged, you should always get certified chargers and you should replace your batteries after 1-2 years wheneva you feel that your battery has started degrading and get certified batteries because it has longer life.
Sounds like it's your battery. I know most people have this idea that you should unplug the charger when the battery is fully charged. Okay, my wife started using her laptop as a desktop after she got her net book. So her laptop has been plugged in since February 2010. Her battery is just fine. Also it still holds a good charge. The Dell laptop is over 5 ears old. The battery or charger has never been replaced.
Great question. It is very likely the charger you got was defective. That is because no charger, no matter how defective, stops working after 2 hours. Either the charger is of extremely bad quality or the charger you purchased was not the correct charger for your laptop. If the charger was purchased of websites that are not of the best quality (including but not limited to, OKorder or amazon) then it wouldn't surprise me. The laptop charger would probably work to an extent but once you demand more power out of it, such as playing a game, the charger will go ka-put. Likewise, if the charger is not the correct model for your specific laptop, then your charger won't have enough juice in the fist place to power on the laptop properly. This high demand of power in both situations is a very likely cause in frying your laptop charger's internal components rendering it useless within 2 hours of using it. I would definitely suggest you look into getting a new charger that is the correct model and from a reliable source. For a new charger, Topmic is by far the best website I have come across in terms of having good products with amazing service. I've purchased from them before and they are true to their word. Free shipping with free lifetime warranty. Meaning, if the charger you purchased from them ever stops working, they would replace it for free, forever. So when the charger I got from them about a year ago decided to just stop working, they sent me a new one for free. Its definitely a great way one can save money in the long run and its a great investment as well. I'm pretty sure they have your charger. Just google Topmic and when you get to their site, enter in the charger name or laptop model. Good luck!
