Question:

Is it possible to suffocate from smoke before burning to death in a fire?

I've always wondered if you could suffocate from the smoke if you were stuck in a burning build before you burned to death. Is that possible?

Answer:

Yes they need to be maintained. You need to refill when the pressure drops into the red area. If you dont have a guage you should have a pressure popup or instructions on the extinguisher.
it's called a trunk latch and i would find one at a local junk yard trunk locks usually don't go bad try to lube the latch with some good white lithium grease you can find it at at auto zone
I assume that the people answering this question don't have gas kitchen stoves. Kitchen stoves are not vented and they have open flames. Where are all the dead bodies from the CO build up in kitchens? Of course you have to be smart about using any heat source and more so with some than others. Unless your shop is airtight it should not be a problem. If you were to use a larger tank like the 20 lb type, it should be outside so a longer hose would be required. Most new propane heaters have low o2 shut offs. It would be a good idea to get a Co detector but for the most part if the heater is working properly the CO will not be an issue. It is produced through incomplete burning.
IF it's refillable, just call a fire extinguisher shop from the yellow pages. Give them the size, the model, and they'll give you the price on the phone
