I have studied Tarot formally, and informally including reading many books and spending hours on various Internet sites, and I always see SwordsAir and WandsFire so I think it is strange that your deck should be different. What deck do you have? In Tarot, I believe if you set your intention for something and make it clear (write it down) then your system for want of a better word is what the cards mean. IMO if your deck has a LWB that gives it a certain meaning and that is what you base your interpretation of the cards on then that is what it means. Personally, I would prefer to use a deck based on the traditional meanings otherwise it gets too confusing. I have read somewhere that the Celtic Cross spread is very powerful because so many people use it so the universe knows what it means. The same theory could apply to the suits.
Simplest answer? The cards are what you read them to be. If you read swordsfire then that is how it is for you. I personally read more from the emotional aspect of the cards than the elemental. That is how they work for me. There are some cards in my decks that I do not agree with the deck creator on. I get a different feel form the card than what is listed in the book. Similar maybe but not he same. But in the end, they are my cards and speak to me in my way. For your case, they are your cards, let them speak to you in your way. Hi the old sleeping policeman has been a constant source of annoyance since they first appeared. so have lost the bottom of the sump on a mini when going over these at speed. yes smashed to bits oil over the place wrecked the engine and gearbox. so if taking it slowly it has scarped it yes, and it would be a good idea to get it checked over. a visit to an exhaust centre and ask the guys to check the underside for you. would be a good idea. some don't even charge just to look.
