Well I‘m wondering because my alarm goes off but doesn‘t make a sound ?
Since your alarm is silent, the device that creates the sound may be defective. Locate and test what ever device it is that creates the sound when the alarm is triggered. Test that (or those) devices and replace any that you can't get to work by applying power directly to them.
