Is there any added sugar or additives in Gerber Banana food? Is it 100% natural?
I believe if you are talking about the jars of just Gerber Bananas baby food, then it is just bananas and water. Read the labels on the back and it will list the ingredients.
I can't remeber if there is any sugar in Gerber's banana or if it's 100% natural. But I used to take half a banana and mash it up. If it needed thinning down for the baby, I added breastmilk or formula in the early months. As my babies got older, I added fruit juices instead of milks. Then I would start to leave lumps in it and omit the juice and milk. This way I knew what I was feeding my babies was natural 100%!!! You can make your own baby food very easly with a blender or food processor and a mesh strainer. Just use fresh natural ingredients.
If you are concerned that the baby recieve all natural foods then why not just mush up a banana and feed the baby that? No additives or preservatives required.
