Hardcore focuses on repitition, chanting, breakdowns and stupid dancing. You basically tune your guitar to drop C and use one or two fingers to play the same riffs over and over. Hardcore is so boring that it occasionally tries to get lumped in with the metal crowd by adding heavier distortion to their guitars. So yeah, I pick Metal.

Everyone will probably say metal because they are the most elitist fans around. They won't give the time of day for any other genre. I speak from personal experiences. Personally, I can't stand listening to it. I like hardcore like Carpathian, but not totally. It gets boring. I would go with metalcore, something like From Autumn to Ashes.
i noticed that a few ppl av mentioned that hardcore is jus a repetition of the same riffs and onli using two fingers to play them. in some cases this is mor than likely but e.g. bring me the horizon(dodgy vocals i kno) but listen to their riffs in their songs. they well technical. i have to go with hardcore its good to bounce along to and when the beatdowns start u jus cant help but nod ur head Oh and as for the dancing. tht jus adds to the entertainment
