is there boilers which works on biogas?

Answer:

I am going to guess that you are asking if there are boilers that are fired, to produce steam, using bio-gas. While I don't know, I will say that I doubt it. The amount of gas required would be in the hundreds if not thousands of cubic feet per minute. You need to remember the amount of heat required to raise 1 pound of water 1 degree Fahrenheit. From there you need to know the heating value of the gas. While it might be possible, the size of the bio-gas system would have to be extremely large. I'm sure it can be done on a small scale, but why not use it to run an engine and bypass the boiler, and steam, and keeping the steam hot enough, and many other concerns for a steam plant. For heating needs, the gas being used to run an engine, and the waste heat from it used for space heating would be a better, more efficient method.
