I'm thinking about assembling my own machine, and the Intel chip I'm looking at is way over my budget. Also, I've been out of the hardware race for a while. Is it true that AMD might be revising their lineup (32nm?) sometime soon? Thanks for your input, and don't forget to list your source. :DFor bonus points, what is the best mobo for this chip?
Bulldozer is supposed to be 32nm and coming out in 2011. It will be a whole architecture change, though, but should still be an AM3 drop-in. X6's overclock like mad. I assume you were looking at the 980X? $1000 is ridiculous for a processor alone.
