Question:

Is zinc a transition metal?

I'm wondering what type of metal it is, I have seen on different periodic tables it being a transition metal and as a poor metal

Answer:

Metals: Strong Malleable Ductile Good conductors Form positive ions Highly dense (Examples: Lead, copper, aluminum) Non-metals: Brittle Dull Poor conductors Form negative ions Low density (Examples: Helium, sulfur, bromine) Metalloids: Have properties of metals and non-metals (Examples: Silicon or Gallium)
