Question:

ive been having problems with my abs system?

sometimes when i turn left my abs light will come on and when i turn left to park somewhere the brake feels like it goes a little lower than usual and i hear a clanking sound. the light usually comes n when i‘m slowing down to make a turn. the light isn‘t on when i turn my car on again but it comes on again when i slow don to turn. i had that problem with the right side and i had a wheel bearing hub put on and it fixed the problem. now it‘s on the left. i too had a wheel bearing hub put on the left side but it didn‘t seem to help. does anyone know what could be going on? thanks.

Answer:

It could be One or more of these possible options; 1) you do not have enough brake fluid in your master cylinder, The abs system will read that and come on, this would also explain why the petal depresses more. 2) the computer that controls the abs is on the fritz (not likely though) OR a wire is broken, wet, or otherwise damaged, this can be fixed by taking the car in to the dealer and having them run diagnostics(this actually happened to my brother) 3) your brakes need to be changed or might not be adjusted properly 4) your tire pressure might not be correct affecting the braking control which the abs sensor might pick up and interpret it as a problem with the brakes. I hope this helps you fix your car.
