Question:

Lincoln LS 06 V8 22 wheels?

Has anyone out ever had an LS on 22 wheels if so, what mods did you have to do. How was the ride, was it that bad that you could settle for 20 wheels? I know its a big difference between the 2 but i gotta hear if first hand form an LS owner,

For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/axYDC This is due to the great T2+T3 alarm systems that the older BMW's use to have. Seriously, they are complete crap and anything and i mean ANYTHING interrupts the fob signal to the car causing the problem that you have now. I once had to get my bmw towed away from the airport just so my fob would work again, yes, apparently the radio waves also have an effect on these alarms too. I would suggest you start by changing the battery in the fob to make sure it is sending a strong signal to the car. If that doesn't work, check the Receiver in the car, depending on what bmw you drive, will depend on its location. The old 3 series had them in the centre mirror or near the sun visors. .
No I have never done it BUT if you do it please remember that with the brakes will also need to be modified for the larger rims. You will loose some braking ability if you don't. This is true for all car makes and models.
Hey, Personally I would go with the 20 wheels. I know a few people who have tried this and said that the wheels will hit the wheel well and scuff the tire. You are safer with 20 wheels. Plus, the 22 will make the car sit pretty high off the ground and you will have to have the smallest profile tire you can go. 20 wheels actually look really nice on it. And yes, you might have to change the brakes as well.
