i have recently replaced all of the brakes on my katana, the front ones went on no trouble, but the rear one is being a pain. i can‘t get it to close shut.

Exhaust systems are tuned to get the best performance and fuel economy, all you are hearing is a new note or noise that sounds like you spent money for a good reason but in reality (which our minds like to fool us) is that you are into the throttle more than you would normally be to impress your self or someone else. We all spend money for a reason and sometimes we have to get comfortable with the idea it is for the wrong reasons. The bottom line is to put it on a dyno before and after to scientifically see a satiating result, which a lot of time is trial and error.
If you've got been heavy at the throttle, that's all it takes. I owned a SHO that might traditional 27 mpg, but when I acquired on it the MPG's could drop to part of that. As for again stress, no longer. A difference in resonance, sure. Many aftermarket kits are hype, with no real testing. There are a few companies you can believein, but their products are WAY more expensive. Borla, is one of them. ANyways, take $20 to the local quicky lube and have them remove and clean your IDLE AIR CONTROL valve, which controls air/fuel mixture. It's an easy DIY job. Get your throtle body cleaned up as well, and fluch out intake with SEA FOAM and Gum-out sprays. This will restore best compression at ANY mielage. Remove the factory plugs, and install a set of Bosch Fusion or IRIDIUM plugs. These ffire fuel at the molecular leve CHEMICALLY as well as just making a spark. The results are up to 20% improvement in mileage,power, and lowering emissions. You will also notice a change in the sound of your exhaust, as the compressions becomes stronger with each stroke of piston. GOOD LUCK!! A good exhaust should include a crossover pipe to improve efficiency, and be flow tested. THose words, flow tested, should appear on the label of your exahust package.
