Question:

Metal Cleats vs. Molded/Rubber Cleats?

I have always worn molded or rubber cleats for baseball, but metal is also another option.I love the looks of metal, yet i don't know which is right for me. I know metal should give better grip in grass.. but i dont want to be running on iceskates through the dirt. Finally, another factor that i am a bit underweight, if that matters?

Answer:

To find out, you must look at the reactivity series of metals.
Most metals do. It depends on the metal, and also on the acid. Gold and platinum, for example, do not react with hydrochloric, nitric, or sulfuric acids, but they react with aqua regia, a mixture of nitric and hydrochloric acid. Silver does not react with most acids, but it reacts with nitric acid. Alkali metals and alkaline earth metals react with pretty much any acid.
