I've heard of Mirror Lock Up and recently got a new 400d (xti) and one of the options in the menu is to enable Mirror Lock Up. Can someone explain what it is and what it is used for. Thanks.
First make certain the oven in clean. Don't need to be cooking old grease. Then set your meat on a rack above the pan..1/2 inch is fine. Keep water in the bottom of the pan. You'll have to replenish it often as it will evaporate. Keeping the drippings at oven temp and not super heated on the hot metal or glass of the pan will eliminate a lot of the smoke problem.
its always smart to have one. carry 2 gallons of distilled water also for the radiator and a quart of motor oil. buy a electrical approved fire extinguisher incase its a electrical fire don't use regular ones it wont solve electrical fires. Heard putting baking soda on a electrical fire is a good idea never had to try it though
