Question:

mpg for a lifted 1995 jeep wrangler?

the car im looking at has a 4‘‘ lift and has big tires (not sure the size) it is a 1995 jeep wrangler 6 cylinder, what should i expect to get for mpg?

Answer:

16 mpg on the high end unless it has been re-feared. If so, bump it up to 18mpg
It depends on whether the person who put bigger tires on it re-geared it. It's not the lift that changes mpg that much, the real factor is the gearing. When the bigger tires went on, the effective gear ratio was lowered. If the owner didn't change the gears in the axle (put higher ratio number gears in it) then the engine will have to work harder to turn the larger tires. If it was re-geared correctly, you should get close to factory advertised mileage - probably 16-17 local and 18 - 19 highway. If it wasn't re-geared, your mileage will be worse. You will see a small drop in mileage due to the lift (taller front cross-section) but the real difference will be in the gearing.
You'll probably end up in the 12-14mpg range.
