i have vac in master cylinder .i have pedal when doing a hard brake but loose it when soft braking any ideas
there ARE no leaks,,,not is,,, master cylinder maybe
I agree, it's the master cylinder.
The red brake comes on when you have a serious problem with the base brake system. Check if the brake fluid is staying the same level. If the level is going down there is a leak somewhere. if you cant see any external leaks anywhere it might be leaking out the back into brake booster. Now if the brake fluid is not going down, there might be a leak inside the master cylinder. Has the brake fluid been changed? Has brakes been bled? Also what is teh year, make model of the vehicle.
