The only way to stablish a connection is between a client and a server. Even if you know the IP address, if there's no server running in the other computer to connect to, you will never stablish a connection.
I'm so used to the bars on my goalie helmet I don't even notice them when skating out (have a full cage on my player helmet) .. better impact protection, air flow / ventilation, also you don't have to worry about it fogging up or shattering .. If you insist on using the clear shield, Oakley makes a pretty good one that apparently doesn't fog up nearly as much, but it will leave your nose somewhat vulnerable.
