Question:

My wired smoke detector (which also has a battery) wont stop beeping. How do I stop the beeping sound?

There are 2 smoke detectors in my finished attic that won't stop beeping. I changed the battery thinking it needed new batteries but it was still beeping. I then replaced the entire smoke detector units (Qty: 2) because the rep at Home Depot thought they were too old and need to be replaced. It is STILL beeping. I turned off the circuit breaker to the smoke detectors and turned it back on thinking that the new smoke detector (wired + battery backup - same model as before) may need to be reset. The smoke detector is still beeping. The pattern of beeps is that there are multiple beeps and then they stop for a few mins and then multiple beeps again (if this helps someone figure out the problem).

Answer:

whistleblower and no fear laws. they are stronger in federal govt than for private industry. the only reason you can probably sue is if there is discrimination under title 7 (for race, sex, color religion, age, disability). other than that, you are like the lady at enron. unless you have something that is blatantly illegal to report (like fraud) you won't get far. i recommend getting a different job. you can usually be fired for any reason at all. unless u are in a union. look up the mspb (merit systems protection board) but it may only apply to govt employees i don't know.
I don't speak with authority, but I offer this as my opinion I would say that in this case the word street is a corruption of the word strait. This word can mean 'narrowness' or 'confined space'. Therefore a street elbow is intended to be used where there is not enough room for a normal elbow/nipple combination to be used.
