My husband & I are adding a bathroom to our basement. We don't have TONS of space, but have found the shower & toilet that will work (both are white). We like some of the modern styled vanities but are finding them to be ridiculously expensive $2200 - $2800 for the sink & vanity. We don't need to go dirt cheap, but we think more than $1,500 is just nuts.We actually need to keep the vanity to no more than 31 inches wide so we aren't looking for anything too big.Does anyone know of websites or brands we could check out that have bathroom sinks & vanities that are nicer than the off the shelf Home Depot & OKorders products but aren't $2grand plus?
I don't know where you've been looking, but this is a good vanity set with a granite top for $750 in your size. My finace & I always spec Pegasus on projects with a budget & see them in model homes all the time. It's not top of the line, but it's pretty darn good for the money. In fact, a cabinet maker can make you a custom solid wood cabinet & you can add the Pegasus granite top for WAY under what you quoted. For a basement bath, how good do you need? Don't get nuts cause you'll never recoup your money from what you over-invested.
Check out the vanities on the website below as they have many different styles of small bathroom vanities that have the counter tops included. In the second link, is a photo of one I bought at Home Depot (special order I think) for about $400. Kohler Archer ?Petite Vanity, in Black Forest with matching sink top. It does have two drawers, with the pipes exposed in the middle, and measures 24' wide by 20' deep.
Check around for a place that sells Diamond brand. They are sold as Thomasville at HD, but you're paying more for the fancy name. As Diamond they are rather inexpensive, but still a decent cabinet. I would suggest asking for all plywood construction in a bathroom.
