Need help with Geometry question.?

How do you figure out the area and perimeter of a silo if the base is 20 feet and the height is 150 feet? Best picture I could find is lt

Answer:

seriously
You have to use circumference. I don't remember the exact equation though.....
You state that the base of your silo is 20 ft. If this is the diameter of the base, the perimeter of the base is 20(pi). When you refer to the area of the silo, it is not clear whether you want the area of the walls or the area of the base. The area of the base is 400(pi)/4 = 100(pi) The area of the wall is 150(perimeter of the base) = (150)20(pi) = 3000(pi). If you want unambiguous answers, you must ask unambiguous questions.
Figure out the radius of the base (try 2*Pi*R = 20feet), then calculate the area of the base, then mutiply it with the height 150.
