Question:

nissan maxima 2001 dashboard lights?

The other day when I was driving my dashboard lights went out. I was unable to see my speedometer or anything else on it. Also I found out by another driver that my stop lights went out too. I think they both went out at same time. But when I hit my brakes the light works. So my question is how to fix the dashboard lights and the stop lights? Is it possible a fuse went out? If so which one could it be?

Answer:

look, itll be the one thats blown. if its a blade type look in the plastic bridge, and you can see. and on the fusebox there wil be a list of what does what.
Could be a lose connection at the buse box. Check in the back of your owner's manual for the distribution of the different fuses.
Like above, some element is incorrect. might want to be EVAP, O2, gasoline cap, IACV, CAS or the different type of issues. Disconnecting the batter cable for purely a minute will maximum in all probability not erase the codes. more beneficial oftentimes than not the battery must be disconnected for a 1/2 hour or more beneficial. also, Autozone's 'professional' coverage is they couldn't erase the codes, purely inform you what they are.
It's your tail light fuse. Check your fuse box and replace that one. Tail lights and dash lights are on the same fuse, so it has to be the fuse.
