I think whoever placed that ad needs to lay off the PBR and put down the crack pipe. That stud is butt-ugly. The mare, meh, so-so but I cringe to think of what the offspring from that union will look like. No one in their right mind is going trade a truck and trailer with a good floor for that preggers mare. A truck and trailer (even junkers) are worth more for scrap metal than pregnant mediocre mare knocked up by a butt-ugly stallion in the dead of winter. Or any time of the year for that matter. To think there is a possibility that someone will give them a PERFECT newer vehicle for that horse is just proof positive they've been inhaling too many fumes from their meth lab. In short, no the mare is not worth that by any stretch of the imagination. The horse market is still crap as made evident by the fact that my local kill buyers (who travel to that area of Michigan I might add) are only getting twenty cents on the pound for meat on the hoof at the Mexican rendering plants. What slaughter houses are paying per pound is a great indicator of the horse market, and they are paying all-time low prices. Classic case of someone thinking their horse is worth waaaaaaay more than it really is. Guy's delusional. Edit: Nothing about that mare is quality. She's got 4H experience. Woot woot. That doesn't make her worth the value of a newer car. Her legs look crooked as all get-out in that picture, her hip is weak and her pasterns make me wanna kick a kitten. The stallion is downright horrid looking. Neither animal has genes worth passing on. I have a sneaking suspicion that the person who told her that mare is worth 4k is herself. Or her husband. Or her boyfriend. Or someone that has a vested interest in stroking her ego.
The conquest of space didn't stop man to reach it in spite of the impossibilities. The quest of man to amass wealth and power at any cost drives morality issue to unprofitable avenue that most rich people wouldn't take. This is human nature. Man as the dominant specie have drive other life forms to extinction, pollute the very air he needs, the water and food that nourish him. Man even made a hole in the sky, which is un-thought off. To make his life interesting, he creates war as though the earth is our own personal toy. How far can man continue is only the limit of his existence and often to destruction.
