Question:

problem using sd card reader?

hi im trying to upload some stuff from my sd card onto my pc but when i try to access the card i get a error message saying J:#92; is not accessible the request could not be preformed because of an I/O device error. what's that mean and what can i do to fix it?!? thanks

Answer:

if the card reader is part of your pc itself. It's possible that the card is being inserted wrong. or that the reader itself has gone bad. you can pick up an SD card reader from Walgreens for about $20, and it plugs into your USB port.
i propose you bypass to the sony internet internet site on your form and obtain and set up the vista frivers on your card reader. vista drivers arew appropriate suitable with win7, i had to persist with vista drivers for the webcam on my pals vista laptop together as he located win7 onto it and it worked thoroughly
Try the SD card in a different computer to see if it is broken. Or try a different SD card in the reader to see if it is working fine. If the SD card is fine, you can try reinstalling the card reader drivers.
