Question:

Resin casting - doesn't resin heat up when curing?

I was interested in embedding things in acrylic resin, like for making jewelry pendants. My concern is that while curing, the resin heats up and I wondered if the heat generated would damage the items I am embedding. Specifically, it's a tiny plastic bead that will go INTO the resin Will the heat from the curing warp or damage the beads I'm embedding? Also I heard that if you make a mistake, the only way to 'undo' the casting is to dissolve the resin with Diclo or dichloromethane; would doing so damage the beads I'm encasing?Any help would be greatly appreciated.
