2 of the magnets on my magnetic brake system are rusty will it ruin my reel?!?! thanks!!
most likely there will be an adverse effect on the performance. if you take minimal care of a decent reel and perform minimal maintenance, there should never be any rust or corrosion anywhere, AT ALL. if you are using it in salt water, it should be THOROUGHLY cleaned and rinsed after EVERY use. any oxidation at all should be prevented.
