Question:

Smoke detectors going off. Do I call the fire department.?

So I unplugged the detectors after trying to fan them as they suddenly went off at around 1:20 Am. I didn't want to wake up the household so I unplugged them for about 5 minutes and I plugged them back up and they have not made any sounds. I have opened all of the windows as well to let some air flow through. It was pretty humid in here as I like to close the windows at night because I am creeped out that some creature or person will slice the screen and get in.I checked the brand and manual of the detectors and it seems as though some of them do detect heat and that dust and humidity can cause false alarms. I won't be able to call maintenance until about 9am. I think they may have after and before hours number but I have to find it.I think calling the fire department is a bit drastic. I don't have a gas stove or anything and there isn't any smoke or fire in my home. I think it was just a nuisance alarm. Do you all think that I should really call the fire department?

Answer:

In the state I live in they would have to fix the windshield and brakes to pass safety inspection.. The radio is up to them. If this is written into the sales contract, all of it is required, if not then, it isn't
Is it a little wrench not a key? Is there any other message like SC - 302 ?
you can manually shift the door about an inch either way. Is the door opening level? If not the cable tension is not equal, and you need to have a professional come and adjust the springs and drums. If the cables are fine you can also slide the track about an inch on either side but losing (not removing) the lags. To move it over you just need to grab the door in the middle and push/pull in the desired direction.
