so-cal fireswhere/what can i donate?

Im located in the penninsula (northern california)i would like to donate clothes, canned foods, blankets, etc to the shelterswho can i donate to? i called my local redcross chapter and 1. they only take monetary donations; 2. not 100% of our money will go to so-calredcross takes a percentage for their fees (wtf?!). can you please email me of where i can donate? i would love to give money, but im a college student :( i can help with my time to ship stuff off or bring in items. thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try booting into the system under safe mode. To do this restart the computer and press the F8 key until you see the advance menu option. Choose safe mode. You will get a warning stating something about being in safe mode. Press the yes button. Once in safe mode log in with the administrator account. Try to get to the files that way. To avoid the problem in the future you should go to the control panel and choose User Accounts find the one you log in with and change its properties to administrative privlidges. If this don't work then you have permission issues with the folder all together and that is more advanced. Update the question and i can give you the steps for the advanced steps.
