Question:

The apartment next to me has a fire alarm that has been going off for hours. What should I do?

It has been recently leased, but no one occupies it as of yet. Unless a magical little gnome appears in the apartment next door, it will go off all night long and I have to be up early. I've tried knocking on the door (just out of curiosity - they might be there and like the sound of the alarm, who knows) and leaving a note, I've tried knocking on the Property Manager's door (she lives on the property) and leaving a note, nothing can the fire department get in there to turn it off? Is there anything I can do? I'm soooooooooo tired!

Answer:

How about a little heat from a propane torch just to soften the pipe a little.
I used a nipple shield too. We only made it to eight weeks with breastfeeding. I personally liked the nipple shield! I can only say it will take practice, trying and trying to get him to latch. He has the ability, you have to draw it out of him! Good Luck, it will all work out!
I have used nipple shield for my son until 4 weeks, , until he got used to latch . This is normal it happens, if you are unable to breast feeding him, Iwould suggest that, you can always store breast milk in a clean container , in this way baby will have breast milk and you will be satisfied also.
Stick with it. What the nipple shield does is puts your nipple in the position for the best latch for the baby. As soon as baby can master a latch you can do away with it. After he gets on try taking it off half way through the feeding. Just keep working with him he'll get it. Its a learned motion for baby's some will get it right away and some need to work at it. Stay with it mama. SO far you've been breastfeeding for 6w this is fantastic. Way to go..remember each day is one day closer to your goal. I had a goal of 3m when I made it I changed my goal to 6m. when I made that goal I changed it to 9m. I made that yesterday! NOW my goal is a yr. just baby steps. I got so tired at times and I think at 2m was the hardest but stick with it, you'll be glad you did. My little guy is so dang smart. Its unbelievable and he's child 4.
