Copper pipe either has sweat on fittings or are just joined. You need to look at it and see if there is any solder around the elbow or not, either way it is going to have to be cut off and either re-soldered or re-joined. Copper pipe is metal pipe and it just happens sometimes, just like galvanized or PVCit just happens but always fixable.
Tools: Basin wrench, spanners, small to medium pipe wrenches, strap wrench, plumber's putty, teflon tape, hacksaw, tape measure. Supplies: Pipe nipples, new shutoff valves, hookup pipes, faucet, new drain pipes. You can measure everything up, take a digital picture if you like and go down to the home center. They will fix you up with what you need and give you advice as to how to actually do it.
