Question:

Washing rubber backed rugs/mats?

The types of rubber backed rugs/mats that you might find in your bathroom (or we have one in front of our sink). Can I just stick them in the washing maching or are they too heavy and might break it?

Answer:

Cocky and arrogant + fire powers is horribly cliche. If you're going to try to be at all original and don't want to make people gag from unoriginality, go for the telekinesis (moving things with his mind). Besides, it makes for more interesting possibilities in my opinion. He can be much more subtle with this power, something difficult to do with fire. I'm sure he'd appreciate being able to use his super power without people panicking and throwing buckets of water on him.
Just a small amount of smoke can set them off. Smoke detectors can also be triggered by invisible ions in the air. If you have an air purifier that emits ions, that could be the culprit. An open flame can generate invisible ions.
False alarm. Any amount of smoke and it will go off. PS: Better don't have BBQs!
