No that would not work if you did that. You have to have the right amount of pressure for it to run right. If you put a muffle on that didn't have as much baffling in it it would make it run a little strong then if it had a lot of baffling in it.
I would try reading the label.
Every. repeat EVERY manufacturer has different additives. You'll have to read the label and if possible go to the manufacturers Internet site and see if they have any information that isn't on the product. Also the synthetic will have different additives than the dinosaur oil as well as diesel vs gas rated oils vs those formulated for turbo (supercharger) applications.
An exhaust with the correct characteristics is necessary to get the correct operating pressure of the engine, and can be quite critical for the performance of the engine. An exhaust is NOT a free flow.
