Question:

What are loud exhaust systems for cars called?

Am i just being a dumbass or is there a certain ‘type‘ or something of exhausts that sound louder?

Answer:

Loud Exhaust Systems For Cars
They sound louder because the exhaust is flowing more freely because the mufflers aren't as restrictive of air flow. It's usually just some aftermarket performance exhaust to boost horsepower. I remember when I was a teen everyone was getting the GReddy exhaust on their Honda Civics to mimic The Fast and Furious. Of course, some prefer Flowmasters on a nice muscle car. If done right, though, it can be both stylish and functional on those little Japanese cars.
Get You some long tube headers. run 2.5 to 3 mandrel bent dual exhaust with an X or H pipe. X pipes flow a little better they say. Get a set of flowmaster outlaw race mufflers. They are straight through design. Then get whatever exhaust tips you prefer. That should sound like a stock car!
