Question:

What are PVC pipe fittings with black gaskets used for?

Can 3 and 4 fittings with black gaskets be used for sewer pipe? Or are they intended for something else? These appear to be Schedule 40.Would the gaskets interfere with gluing the pipe to the fittings?

Answer:

I have a similar smoke detector system. These are powered by two power sources. House power and battery power. The battery power operates the detector should the fire interrupt the house power. These detectors are interconnected. If one trips an alarm, all of the detectors sound, not just the one nearest the fire. If my battery is good and I have house power, I'll have a steady green light. If the battery goes bad, I'll have a flashing red light and a short chirp every 3 minutes or so. Also, if there is too much dust in the detector, I'll get a chirp. Take off the cover and blow out the dust with a can of compressed air.
She had her baby. Look back at previous episodes and notice she was always in a smock to cover up her pregnancy.
Just worked this out - Create a rounded rectangle with a radius of 10px, then go to Edit Transform Path Perspective. Pull the top left handle to the right to give it a 3D appearance. Right click the layer and select blending options. Apply a drop shadow with the blend mode 'multiply' opacity 75%, angle 90', distance 2px, spread 0px and size 2px. Next, apply a gradient overlay; doable click the gradient bar next to 'gradient'. Make the first colour c6c6c6, and the second 787878. Now add a 1px Stroke of the colour 7c7c7c. Add satin with the settings as follows; blend mode 'multiply', opacity 11%, angle 19', distance 3px, size 40px. Create a new transparent layer and select both the shape layer and the blank layer, right click and select 'merge layers'. Select Filter Render Lighting Effects. Choose the light type 'omni', set the intensity to 20, the gloss to 100, the material to 100, the exposure to 0 and the ambience to 20. Resize the circle on the left so it covers the stage entirely, without leaving too much space between the circle and the stage, then move the circle down so the centre is near the bottom of the stage. There - fiddle around with the settings a bit and see if you can get it how you want it. :)
