No, that is a really bad idea. Things can get out of hand very quickly and we need to learn from past history not to repeat the same mistakes over and over. In May 1970 , Kent State University students fire bombed the ROTC building in response to the attack in Cambodia. Thousands were killed and wounded in what was called Vietnamization. The national guard responded with tear gas and when they ran out most of them retreated , but a few stayed and began to shoot the students. Nixon ordered college students executed for exercising their civil rights on a college campus. On that day four died and eleven were wounded. The deaths at Kent state unleashed a torrent of protests on over 400 universities and on May 9th over 100,000 students descended on Washington in protest. Nixon worked really hard trying to discredit the students. He stated These bums are blowing up campuses, burning books, storming aboutthis should remind once again that this behavior causes violence and tragedy.By June , 1970, Nixon planned to retaliate. He decided to tap college phones, engage in electronic surveillance of students, stage break ins so he could search dorms, and open student's mail. Nixon had the power to do it but was stopped by Hoover who refused to go along with it.
I'm guessing this is a footing for a retaining wall. If so you need to stay a couple of inches below grade so it doesn't show. So the gravel will be a couple of inches less in depth, wright ?
