Question:

What does Suspension System Serviced, and Engine serviced REALLY mean on a used car report?Does that mean that

the engine and the suspension system has had problems on the car???If so,what kind do you really think??HELP ME, PLEASE

Answer:

I am not a rocket scientist but I think it means the suspension system and engine has been serviced previously.
During a check of your suspension system, technicians examine your car’s: Tie rod ends (inner and outer) Idler arm Pitman arm Rack and pinion unit Rack and pinion bellows boots Springs Shock absorbers All other suspension components Engine service will be: Tune Up. Change spark plugs, may change timming belts, fan belts, Air Filter. ·Change the motor oil ·Replace oil filter ·Visually Inspect:- antifreeze/coolant reservoir levels- engine air filtration system- serpentine belts- brake fluid level in transparent reservoirs- wiper blades- exterior lights·Vacuum interior floors ··Lubricate the chassis (when applicable) ·Check tire pressure ·Check and top off the following fluids:- transmission/transaxle fluids- differential fluid- power steering fluid- windshield washer fluid- battery water They do not relate to any repairs or problems. Unless there is a warranty or extended warranty, the used car for sale is normally AS IT.
It actually means that the routine maintenance was performed as per the owners manual guidelines. Chances are during the routine inspection that is recommended at 15k intervals, a problem was noticed and corrected. i.e. weak shocks or struts, worn brakes, greased the tie rods and that sort of thing. Engine service either means oil change or coolant flush, if anything major was done like a new engine it would be noted.
