Mothers Foaming Wheel Tire Cleaner, as it is formally called, is a powerful formula designed for factory/OEM coated factory wheels on cars and trucks -- this includes the following OEM/factory coatings on original equipment wheels on virtually all vehicles over the last 20-plus years: painted, clearcoated, chrome plate and chrome clad. This product does an excellent job at cleaning the surfaces for which it is intended. Motorcycles often do not have coated wheels, but instead polished aluminum, rough cast, billet anodized, or a combination of those and other finishes -- so this cleaner should be avoided on those surfaces as staining may occur either directly on the wheel or on adjacent hardware, hubs, cables, lines, etc. There is no safety concern at all -- it is purely cosmetic.
