I removed my carpet and put in laminate floor. Do you have to put a sealer for laminate floors. What products can i use to clean laminate floors??
Just damp mop. they are pretty good about cleaning up.
Vinegar water is the best. Cheap, unobtrusive and easy to use.
You do not need to seal laminate flooring. Just scrub it with a mild soap solution and warm water. Laminate flooring is one of the easiest floors to take care of. A Swiffer Wet Jet cleaner works well also.
Laminate floors are already sealed. Use the product recommended by the floor company.I do small areas at a time with a swifter covered with a solution soaked rag. Then I dry it with a dry cloth on a swifter to prevent streaks. You may be able to forget the last step depending on the solution.
When cleaning a laminate floor be sure to NEVER use any kind of soap or abrasive cleaner. These will leave a film that is hard to remove. Do not soak the floor with water. A damp mop or sponge is best. Vinegar and ammonia work well. Laminate cleaners are sold at home improvement stores but they are made of vinegar and ammonia and not worth the money. Many people have trouble with streaking on their laminate. This will happen no matter what cleaner you use. The only way to prevent streaks is to dry the floor after cleaning.
