An exhausted system by itself won't make any difference in HP. You need to do the whole 9 yards (intake, exhuast, header, etc) to notice an improvement.
yup it does all that but dont expect a great increase in horse power but yes it helps in those ways. if you can find one for a desent price then go for it
It will not improve the sound of the vehicle however it has been proven that cold air induction systems increase horsepower and give better gas mileage while offering peak performance. If you are going with any kind of cold air breather, I recommend KN.
From what I've gathered in information, an exhaust isn't worth the cost on that car. Any of the available aftermarket exhausts are worth between 0-5hp at the wheels, which won't be noticeable. They will all sound like garbage, not because of the exhaust, or because it's an Acura, but because it's an exhaust on a 4 cylinder. 4 Cylinder exhausts naturally are very buzzy and don't sound aggressive, just annoying, because of when the exhaust pulses come. Also, looks are a very personal opinion, but my opinion is that any exhaust that hangs the muffler out below the back of the bumper looks like rice and looks horrible. If it were me, I'd either get a custom exhaust built, or keep the stock, and spend the money getting the ECU reflashed from someone like Hondata.
it will never pay for itself if savings at the pump are your criteria.
