boy clothes awesome. lesbians awesome. therefore, boy clothes lesbians. yeah, no, it's just stereotypes.
because they have a thought of what a girl is and you don't fit in the puzzle how they see it. Just say I'm not lesbian.
Cut the top off and make a convertible out of it. The sun should help dry your noggin out.
Long-ish sociological answer: Historically, women's worth as human beings was determined by how good of a wife/mother they'd be. Also historically, a good wife/mother was a woman who was subservient to her husband, and who depended on him both physically, for safety, and financially. Appearing helpless and frail helped to further this air of subservience, and clothing was designed to make women appear to fit this archetype. How independent and strong could someone be, burdened with a zillion skirts and petticoats, and a breathing-restricting corset? By wearing clothing which deliberately limited their movement and ability to perform certain actions, women were indicating that they depended on men to do these actions for them. On the flip side, a woman wearing men's clothing would be seen as trying to gain male privilege, and therefore trying to do things limited to men. Such a woman was viewed as deficient, in that she failed to crave male protection, preferring to do things on her own. One could see where the lesbian concept comes in here. Short answer: Besides your race and gender, clothing is one of the first things you'll notice about people, and many people are simply too lazy to look any deeper. They either see it as impossible (or at least highly unlikely) that one would appear to be one thing but actually be another, or they simply don't care enough to bother finding out any more about the person in question.
because that is how many 'butch' lesbians dress, which is a stereotype and not always true.
