Some people cover matte stainless steel plates or matte aluminium products with film of high adhesion. Generally, they use transparent film or blue film.
The glue of the film must be thick, as least 0.03mm.
The requirements for matte surface are much lower than that of specular surface. You can use PE film. Its adhesion can be tested in many ways.
