Question:

What size skateboard wheels should I get?

I‘m thinking of getting skateboard wheels but I want wheels that are pretty good on rough concrete and good for doing tricks and grinding. I‘m thinking of getting a wheel size that‘s 52-54 mm and durability that‘s 95-98A. Would this be good for me?

Answer:

Go for Spitfire F1 Firelighter Black / Red Skateboard Wheels - 52mm 100a
If you are into street skating, then harder wheels are probably better. I personally ride the same wheels every time. I get new wheels like once every couple months. I buy Bones Party Pack wheels. The hardness is their STF which stands for Street Tech Formula. I love the STF formula because i can get a brand new set and as soon as i set them up, my body remembers exactly what the hardness feels like when I do power slides on the ground. They never flat spot but sometimes if you hit stuff like screws or rocks they will chip on the sides. Its my personal opinion that Bones makes the best wheels and bearings in the industry but everyone has different opinions. AS far as size i ride 52's. 52-54 is perfect for street and flip tricks. Wheels dont have a lot to do with the actual grinding but they sure do help on the rougher approaches to things. I hear the Spitfires are decent too and I used to ride them in bowls a lot. Ive tried a lot of wheels.
